Scope of Work

1. Helical Pile Foundation Stabilization

To stop the foundation from further sinking and to provide long-term structural support, we performed the following:

• Excavation and Installation of (6) New Helical Piles
  Six helical piles were installed with engineered brackets, in accordance with drawing SK-1. Each pile was torqued to a minimum ultimate capacity of 20 tons, ensuring a strong bearing foundation beneath the rear wall.
  
• Step Removal and Reconstruction
  Pile No. 6 required partial removal of an adjacent step near the chimney. After installation, a new step was formed and rebuilt to match the original design.
  
• Backfilling and Restoration
  All excavated areas were carefully backfilled to the original grade upon project completion, restoring the landscape and ensuring soil compaction around the new piles.
  

2. Structural Crack Repair in Basement Foundation Wall

Cracks totaling approximately 20 linear feet were identified across three separate areas of the basement foundation. Our repair process included:

• Surface Preparation: Grinding on both sides of each crack to remove dirt, efflorescence, and weak concrete, exposing a clean, solid bonding surface.
  
• Injection Port Setup: Drilled holes every 6 inches vertically along each crack to install epoxy injection ports.
  
• Epoxy/Urethane Injection: Injected high-performance epoxy and urethane formulations deep into the cracks to restore tensile strength and water resistance.
  
• Basecrete Waterproofing System:
  
  • Applied a first layer of Basecrete waterproofing cement over the injected cracks.
    
  • Embedded 4.5 oz fiberglass mesh to reinforce the area.
    
  • Completed with a second Basecrete coating to ensure a watertight and structurally sound finish.
    

3. Wood Floor Leveling

The sunken wood flooring above the damaged foundation area was carefully restored:

• Removed the affected flooring section.
  
• Installed durable shims to re-establish the original level plane.
  
• Reinstalled the wood flooring, restoring both safety and aesthetics.
