Waterproofing Solution Delivered
To resolve the issue, Zavza Seal LLC performed a custom bench installation with waterproof reinforcement, ensuring long-term protection and structural stability:
- Waterproofed Zinc Steel Retainer: Installed a right-angle steel edge, securely anchored into the existing concrete to serve as a permanent concrete retainer.
- Custom Formwork: Built a perimeter form designed for an 8” x 8” reinforced concrete bench to encase the drain pipe.
- Surface Preparation: Cleaned and dampened the base area within the form to promote proper concrete adhesion.
- High-Strength Concrete Pour: Poured and finished a 4,000 PSI concrete bench, shaped precisely to the form for uniform structure and support.
- Cleanup & Completion: After the concrete cured, all forms were removed and the workspace thoroughly cleaned.
Result
The client now benefits from a durable, waterproof concrete enclosure that enhances the functionality and lifespan of the basement drain system. The completed bench not only prevents erosion and seepage but also adds a clean, professional finish to the area.
