- We first opened the sheetrock along the interior side of the foundation wall to fully expose the cracked areas.
- Each side of the crack was ground down to remove all loose materials, efflorescence, and dirt, ensuring a clean surface of bare concrete for proper adhesion.
- Injection ports were drilled every 6 inches vertically from top to bottom along each crack to ensure even distribution of repair materials.
- We injected the cracks with a combination of epoxy and urethane formulations, which bonded and sealed the concrete to stop active leaks and reinforce the structure.
- Once injection was complete, we applied the first layer of Basecrete waterproofing cement to cover the cracks and injected areas.
- A 4.5 oz fiberglass mesh by Basecrete was embedded into the waterproofing layer to add structural reinforcement and durability.
- A second layer of Basecrete waterproofing cement was applied to seal and finish the surface completely.
- To complete the repair, we installed new sheetrock, taped and compounded to restore the finished interior wall.
Exterior Foundation Wall Repair
- On the above-grade exterior sections of the same two cracks, we performed a patching process to seal the cracks from the outside and prevent surface-level moisture entry.
