At Zavza Seal LLC, we recently completed a basement waterproofing and foundation repair project for a homeowner in Levittown, NY. The property owner had concerns about water damage and structural deterioration in both the basement flooring and a section of the foundation wall. Subject Area 1: Basement Linoleum Tile Floor

Challenges
The basement floor had rotted baseboard moldings and water-damaged linoleum tiles. The concrete slab beneath the tiles showed signs of wear, requiring resurfacing and reinforcement to prevent future water intrusion.
Our Process
- Removed and disposed of the rotted baseboard moldings.
- Carefully removed the linoleum tiles. Although our crew applied best efforts to preserve them, some tiles were at risk of being damaged during removal.
- Scarified the concrete slab underneath the removed tiles to create a stronger bonding surface.
- Applied a layer of 6,000 PSI waterproofing cement to seal and protect the slab from future moisture.
- Installed the old and/or new tiles along with new baseboard moldings to restore the basement to a functional and visually appealing state.
Important Note: The homeowner purchased and provided the new tiles and baseboard moldings.
Subject Area 2: Back of the House Foundation Wall

Challenges
The back foundation wall showed cracks and voids, which threatened the integrity of the basement and risked future water penetration.
Our Process
- Scarified the wall surface to prepare it for treatment.
- Filled the voids and gaps using high performance 6,500 PSI mortar to restore structural stability.
- Applied a protective layer of 6,000 PSI waterproofing cement to complete the repair and ensure long-lasting waterproofing protection.
