Mr. Ties of Whitestone, NY, reached out to Zavza Seal LLC seeking a solution to improve the thermal performance and energy efficiency of his garage ceiling. The client was looking for an environmentally conscious insulation upgrade to reduce energy loss and increase indoor comfort.
Initial Evaluation
Our team assessed the garage ceiling area, approximately 350 sq. ft., and recommended dense-packed cellulose insulation due to its high R-value, fire resistance, and sound-absorbing properties. We also noted that this product contributes to healthier indoor air quality and meets Class 1 fire safety ratings.
Scope of Work
To effectively insulate the space, Zavza Seal LLC performed the following services:
- Drilled access holes between wall studs to facilitate the installation process.
- Installed dense-packed cellulose insulation to achieve an R-value of 20, optimizing energy efficiency and moisture resistance.
- Patched, taped, and compounded all access holes upon completion, restoring the appearance of the affected ceiling area.
This high-performance insulation is Gold Certified and known for reducing outside noise while improving indoor air quality and overall home efficiency.
Optional Work: Finishing Services
Upon request, Zavza Seal LLC offered an optional return visit to complete:
- Sanding and painting of the patched ceiling sections.
Homeowner supplied the paint, ensuring the final result matched the existing aesthetic.

Warranty & Customer Assurance
Zavza Seal LLC provided a 10-year workmanship and materials warranty covering only the areas and surfaces we worked on. Fixtures and equipment are excluded from the warranty and remain under their respective manufacturers’ coverage.
