Zavza Seal LLC was contracted to resolve a persistent groundwater issue at a property in New Suffolk, NY. The client reported excessive moisture accumulation under the on-floor slab on grade, particularly near the rear entrance of the building. This issue threatened the structural integrity of the slab and created potential water damage concerns.

• Continuous groundwater accumulation beneath the slab.

Our Solution

To address the issue, Zavza Seal LLC implemented a groundwater drainage system tailored to the property’s needs. The key steps included:

✅ Excavation & Drainage Installation

• A trench was excavated at the rear of the building, adjacent to the door.
• A 4-inch PVC pipe was installed on a gravel bed, creating a transition path for water flow towards the existing drywell.

✅ Filtration System to Prevent Clogging

• A filter fabric was installed over the gravel at the pipe opening to prevent sediment and debris from obstructing water flow.

✅ Sealing & Surface Restoration

• The PVC pipe was covered with gravel and topped with 4 inches of concrete for stability.
• The existing gravel driveway surface was swept back to cover the area, restoring the property’s original aesthetics.
