Scope of Work

• Installed galvanized L-shaped brackets beneath the stone to reconnect and reinforce the broken metal rail to the concrete below.
• Applied structural mortar over the brackets and reinstalled the original stone to maintain continuity in appearance.

2. Securing the Upper Broken Metal Posts

• Installed galvanized brackets on both the concrete surface and adjacent brickwork.
• Used metal and concrete screws to firmly secure the upper two broken metal handrail posts (as shown with white arrows in Exhibit B).

3. Brick Reinstallation

• Reinstalled the detached bricks using high-strength 5,000 PSI mortar, ensuring long-term structural integrity and seamless restoration of the stair surface.

Challenges & Considerations

• Preserving original materials: To maintain the home’s aesthetic, our team reused the existing stone after careful removal and reinstallation.
• Structural safety: All materials used—especially galvanized brackets and high PSI mortar—were chosen for their durability in New York’s seasonal climate.
• Non-invasive method: The process avoided full demolition, reducing client cost and project downtime.
