The goal was to provide a comprehensive crawl space encapsulation to eliminate water intrusion, prevent mold and mildew growth, improve air quality, and ensure long-lasting waterproofing.

Project Scope

To tackle these challenges, we proposed a detailed, step-by-step solution, addressing both immediate waterproofing needs and long-term moisture control. Here’s an overview of the services we provided:

1. Foundation Crack Repair:
   The team repaired six foundation wall cracks using hydraulic cement, a powerful sealant known for its durable, water-resistant properties. This initial step was essential in preventing further water seepage and ensuring a stable foundation.

2. Wall/Floor Joint Waterproofing:
   To enhance the waterproofing seal, we ground the wall and floor joint 3 inches vertically and horizontally around the entire perimeter (approx. 55 linear feet). After preparing this surface, we applied a mesh-reinforced Basecrete waterproof cement, providing a robust, reinforced layer that effectively blocks water intrusion.

3. Floor Cleaning and Vacuuming:
   We thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the entire crawl space floor, removing any dust, debris, and contaminants. This cleaning process helped in preparing the surface for the next steps, ensuring optimal adhesion and effectiveness of the waterproofing treatments.

4. Disinfection and Mold Removal Bay Shore:
   Our team used an all-natural disinfectant spray to treat the entire crawl space. This EPA-approved disinfectant is non-flammable, odorless, and has the lowest toxicity rating, making it safe and highly effective. 5. Liquid Vapor Barrier Application:

6. Reinforced Vapor Barrier Installation on Soil Floor:
   In areas with a soil floor, we installed a 15-mil reinforced vapor barrier, securing it with concrete screws for stability. This heavy-duty barrier further ensures that ground moisture is contained, reducing humidity and protecting the crawl space from future moisture-related issues.
