2. Subgrade Drainage Connection: The trench drain was connected to a 4-inch PVC pipe placed subgrade to carry stormwater efficiently to an adjacent collection area.
3. Collector Basin with Overflow: The PVC pipe transitioned to a subgrade collector basin positioned approximately 10 feet away from the driveway in a grassy area. The basin was fitted with a pop-up overflow to prevent backflow during heavy rain events, ensuring that water could flow freely away from the driveway surface.
4. Backfilling and Restoration: Upon completion of the installation, all excavated areas were backfilled to match the original ground level. The homeowner arranged for reseeding of the grass area to restore its appearance.
