The Problem

Our Solution

After inspecting the joint, our team developed a waterproofing plan designed to restore the joint’s flexibility while creating a long-lasting barrier against water intrusion.

To access the work area safely, we temporarily disconnected the nearby downspout. This allowed our crew to work along the entire height of the joint without obstruction.

The first step was removing all damaged and loose materials from the existing joint. Using professional power tools, we carefully cut and prepared the joint to create clean, straight, and even surfaces. Proper preparation is one of the most important steps in any waterproofing project because new materials will only perform as well as the surface they are bonded to.

Once the joint was properly prepared, we sealed all visible gaps, cracks, and openings. This helped prevent water from entering behind the waterproofing system and created a solid base for the final protective coating.

After completing the repairs, our crew applied two coats of an elastic liquid waterproofing membrane over the entire joint area. This flexible membrane is designed to move with normal building expansion and contraction while maintaining a watertight seal.

Once the waterproofing work was completed and inspected, the downspout was reinstalled and the work area was cleaned.
